MythTV - the install on Debian Linux.

This guide is how I manage to install and afterwards having a running MythTV Mediecenter on a Debian Linux. This is a really great tool to have in the house, allthough its a hugher cost i power, if you don't think about the poweruse in your system. That's allso somthing to do with the choices I have with the different hardware.

First of all - I bought a machine big enough to handle what I dreamed of, and after playing around with this for several years I'm ending up with this system and still playing and exploring the MythTV System:

SateliteDish Swedish MicroWave 0160:
2xQuadLNB connected to Titanium MS 9/8 ES Quad-LNB switch.
4xDualLNB connected using 2XDISEqC

GB-LAN:
DLINK DS1024 24Ports GB-switch

MythTV Master Backend:
Dell Pressision Intel QuadCore
4TB Harddisc = 2TB i RAID1 - 8GB RAM
TVtuner - 3xHauppauge HVR-4000 DVB-S/S2 + 2xTevii S470 DVB-S/S2

ReadyNAS Duo:
2x1TB Seagate harddisk in RAID1.

Frontends: (X 1)
Asrock ION330
2GB RAM
160GB Harddisc
Nvidia ION Graphiccard for Full HD

Frontends: (X 1)
FITPC3 1.0Ghz dual Core
2GB RAM
30GB USB-Harddisc
RADEON HD 6290

Frontends: (X 2) only running SD.
Asus EEE B202
1GB RAM
80GB Harddisc

I'd start thinking about how to build my system - so I got the best of the situation and options. So here's what my setup are looking like:

So that'll run as a seperate network (carse of my setup in my Soekris) and will not have anything else to do with my other networks.

My Satelite Dish is a , as shown on this picture. Have 2xQuad-HD LNB's connected to the LNB-switch which set each output from the Quadheads to at static setting, which make its possible to put ??numbers of recievers on the other end.

My Litlle LNB-Switch:
To make it possible to get more the 4outputs for recievers, I've discovered this kind of switches which can be bought with 2-4-8 X4 inputs from LNB's!
The meaning is to have a static tuner on each band - so they're tuned static on either Low/High + Vertical/horizontal transponders.
Model:
Titanium MS9/8 ES QuadLNB Switch

My MBE-server:

I had downloadet the latest Debian Install CD and using this CD for installing the machines. I have made a seperate site - describing how to install the different machines - and at the same time made a full guide - for download.

Download the latest Debian Image here.
Getting the different Tunercards up and running is pretty difficult and you can run into compiling problems with running with latest Kernel.

Later on I will keep making guides in howto make the same different things as I done through my experiences with MythTV. Those guide will be in the left side of the menu on the page considering MythTV!

But to describe my setup shortly:
MBE:
The MBE has all the DVB-S Inputsources and are using this as primary TV in my house exploding it using LAN.
It exporting using NFS the dirs inside /storage to the subnet (All Clients).
All my primary Video's and Concerts are stored on my NAS in RAID1 - And music are stored locally on the Raided drive.

Frontends:
They are talking with the MBE using LAN, and showing LIVE-TV streamed from the MBE. No Frontends has a input-source and could allso be thinclients - which could use PXE-boot.
