This page describes what will happens during a Penetration test of a Company Network.
The most important fact in a penetration test, is how to perform the test. Mostly I’m hired by the CEO or Head of IT persons, who knows I’ll perform these tests during a timeperiod. This way we’re keeping the unknown fact on Who I am and what will I do ? Since the humans are as important as servers,switches and firewall etc, since a human also can be “hacked” to do a predefined task, to compromise the company – Out trust in people are the problem, since you never know a person completely.
In the timeperiod I’ll test for:
- Network (WAN,LAN and Wifi)
- Servers, switches and firewall
- RFID scanner or other access control
- webpages
and off course – If you have other options that you’ll like to test .
Since penetrationstest are a must, in the buisnessworld, most CEO does not see the values of a secure network, protecting the network and the buisness critical informations.
